“Bunyeroo Dawn”
The Flinders Ranges, is an ancient arid land renowned for its stark beauty and wonderful light ,it is one of my favorite places to paint. I'm in Bunyeroo Valley, it's truly inspiring and to be up in time for dawn I camped overnight, enjoyed a camp fire and the utter solitude of the landscape around me with billions of stars above . At first light a mist is rising in the valley, the sun begins to lick the peaks of Wilpena and ABC range, this is Bunyeroo Gorge at its finest and the making of one of my best outback paintings “Bunyeroo Dawn”.
