“The Three Sisters”
On the many trips I've driven from Sydney to the outback I always stop to admire the magnificent Three Sisters , the colours of the Jamison valley and Blue Mountains in the distance. The Three Sisters play an important part in Aboriginal history and, according to legend, were once three beautiful sisters called Meehni, Wimlah, and Gunnedoo. These spectacular formations stand at 922m, 918m, and 906m respectively above the valley floor. When visiting there is always bird life flying in and out , these three female Eastern Rosella's became part of my painting “The Three Sister”.
