One of my favourite things to paint are storm clouds, there is a wild beauty to a summer storm in the desert, it makes an amazing contrast between black skies , red earth and purple ranges. Morlana on the western rim of Wilpena Pound Flinders Ranges is a great place to storm chase and It rarely disappoints , it's an area I paint again and again , each time it offers something new and interesting , the barren track disappearing into the horizon , with ominous clouds swirling above sets the scene for “Morlana Storm”.
