Travelling along “The Outback Highway” from Hawker to Parachilna you are gifted with an amazing site along almost the entire journey, on one side the vast desert plains , flat red and stretching to the horizon on the other the mountains of “Ikara - Flinders Ranges National Park” together with the big blue outback sky gives a sense of freedom seldom felt. “South from Parachilna” is part two of a Diptych I painted pulling together my view of this stunning journey.
