“Summer Storm”
Broken Hill in the Australian outback is an old mining town and the place I grew up in. Broken Hill was officially named Australia's first Heritage City in 2015 and its main street is full of historic buildings built during the boom times. The striking Post Office is an iconic part of the cityscape easily recognizable for its photogenic red clock tower, behind it is another ornate building the Town Hall built in a Victorian classic style both constructed during the town gold mining heyday of the 1890’s. Capturing this part of history was my goal and to make these buildings come to life, I set them contrasting against the dark sky’s of a “Summer Storm”.
